On March 20, 2020, the IRS released Notice 2020-18 that announced the federal income tax filing deadline for taxpayers and small businesses has been moved from April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020. Although it has not been confirmed, it appears this most recent action will result in the deadline for making IRA and HSA contributions for the tax year 2019 also being extended until July 15, 2020.
