The CFPB recently released the Filing Instructions Guide for HMDA data collected in 2020, which will be reported in 2021. The Filing Instructions Guide includes the file, data, and edit specifications for reporting in 2021.
A Supplemental Guide was also published for quarterly filers for those institutions required to file HMDA data on a quarterly basis beginning in 2020. The Supplemental Guide specifies what institutions are required to file quarterly, provides changes to HMDA edits, and includes a link to the HMDA Frequently Asked Questions.
