On February 13, 2018 the CFPB released its Strategic Plan in which it outlined its goals during for the next 5 years (2018-2022). In addition to providing an overview of the Bureau and its “Mission and Vision,” the plan outlines three goals which generally include:

  • Ensuring consumers have access to financial products and services
  • Consistent enforcement of laws so that the market for financial services and products is fair and transparent
  • Improve operational efficiencies via effective processes
