More and more states are enacting emergency measures to provide relief to address notarization issues that have arisen as a result of the safety measures in place due to the coronavirus. Currently, only some states have laws in place that provide for remote online notarization (RON), which uses audiovisual technology to allow consumers to execute documents when the person is in a different location than the notary.
