President Signs Financial Reform Bill into Law
Today President Obama signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act into law. The Act represents the most sweeping overhaul of the U.S. financial industry since the Great Depression.
The law addresses myriad issues and is aimed at protecting consumers, installing new oversights on certain "too big to fail" firms, imposing restrictions on the derivatives market, plus many other reform provisions.
While it will take years to implement, the financial industry will be analyzing the Act and its impact on operations and other affected areas. CSi will keep you informed of how the new law impacts CSi products and services.
