The FDIC will host a series of nationwide banker teleconferences focusing on the Consumers Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB’s) mortgage-related final rules. The teleconferences will be held on May 2, May 15 and June 6.
The first call will focus on the ability-to-repay/qualified mortgage rule, the new escrow requirements, and certain provisions of the loan originator compensation rule. The second call will cover mortgage servicing. The final call will focus on the final rules on loan originator compensation and changes to the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA).
Advance registration is required, but the sessions are free. Institutions are encouraged to submit questions on teleconference topics prior to the calls.
